ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Social Sciences has the largest number of faculty and the course offering in the school. From the beginning the department has attempted to break the narrow discipline compartment found in the traditional academic structures and to rebuild an inter and multidisciplinary domain of Social Sciences. This has been done with an objective to offer an alternative discourse within the larger narrative of Socials Sciences based on the equity, inclusiveness and metadisciplinarity.

As an undergraduate offering, the department presents SIX interdisciplinary majors in POLITICAL SCIENCE, INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC POLICY, SOCIOLOGY, HISTORY.
