Madhumita Roy completed her M.A. in English from the Department of English, Visva-Bharati in 2010. She acted as a Research Assistant in “Kalanukramik Rabindra-Rachanabali Project” under Rabindra-Bhavana from 2010-2012. She provided research assistance to Prof. Uma Dasgupta, India Institute for Advanced Studies, Simla for the National Project: “Early World of Visva-Bharati – Santiniketan: Charles Andrews, Rabindranath Tagore, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru” from 2012 –2013. She also worked as a DRS Project Fellow in the Department of English, Visva-Bharati from 2017-2019 and as guest faculty in the Department of English, Visva-Bharati. Currently, she is working on her doctoral dissertation on “Rabindranath Tagore’s Engagement with Science” under the supervision of Prof. Amrit Sen, Department of English, Visva-Bharati.
